Friday 25 September 2020

It is the end of Term 3 and we have at last been able to have our whanau morning. The whole school has had a lovely time doing lots of fun activities with our whanau groups. The senior students did an amazing job organising their group activities and we loved spending time with other children in the school.

Māori Language Week

We have had a fantastic week with the focus on Te Reo and Māori customs.  Of course, Te Reo is interwoven throughout our whole school curriculum every week, but this week was an extra special week!

We have practised our waiata, this one is one of our favourites!

Asked each other how we are feeling...

We have used flax leaves, made necklaces, headbands and beautiful book marks.  take a look at our work below!  We have had a lot of fun and we are looking forward to the whanau morning next Friday.

Discovery Time

Discovery Time on Friday is a time when the children are offered lots of opportunities to experience different creative activities.  Activities are varied, some are quiet and reflective, others, not so much!

It also offers the children a chance to interact with each other freely and to find new friendships. Today's blog offers a view of some of the activities the children explore.
