Mihi Whakatau Term 4
Today we had a traditional welcoming ceremony called a Mihi Whakatau. We welcomed in the new children in T4 and our new teacher in T4, Kathryn Hartnell. The older children sing a welcome waiata and then we all sing Te Aroha together.
It was so lovely to be part of the Mihi Whakatau. Although our family has been at Halswell Primary since 2013, I've never been to one before so it was great to see it in action.
